FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

REMAIN STEADFAST IN THE FAITH
Be sober, be vigilant; because your adversary the devil walks about like a roaring lion, seeking whom he may devour. Resist him, steadfast in the faith… 1 Peter 5:8–9

We were taught that if you wanted to resist the devil, you had to rebuke him. So whenever an evil thought came to your mind or you were tempted, you would say, “I resist you, devil, in Jesus’ name! I bind you! Go away from me, devil! I rebuke you!” What happens is that you end up spending more time talking to Satan than to God!

You become more conscious of the devil than of God. The Word of God says that we resist the devil not by focusing on resisting him, but by being established in the faith that we are the righteousness of God through Jesus’ blood. Yes, the devil will continue to remind you of your mistakes, past failures and sins. He will tell you that because of these things, you cannot be healed or blessed. He will accuse, condemn and push you down. But the truth is that Satan cannot enforce anything in your life if he cannot persuade your heart. And your heart cannot be persuaded if it is “…steadfast in the faith.”

When your heart is established in faith, you can boldly declare, “Yes, I may have sinned in the past, but now I am justified in God’s eyes by faith. Because of what Christ has done, I am righteous!” Beloved, that is how you resist the devil and become undevourable!

Prayer
I thank You Father for the blood of Jesus that washes me and makes a new creation. I thank You that I have become undevourable unto Satan because I am righteous in Christ. I pray that I will remain in the faith and become more conscious of Your presence. In Jesus’ name. Amen.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

SOMETHING BIG IS COMING YOUR WAY
For I am about to do something new. See, I have already begun! Do you not see it? Isaiah 43:19 (NLT)

God’s plan for your life is not for you to reach one level, get stuck and stay there for 10 or 20 years. His plan is to increase you, open new doors before you and take you places that you have never imagined. He has something big in your future! He has already planned out big breakthroughs, big opportunities and big ideas for you.

You may have seen God’s goodness in the past, but you have not touched the surface of what God has in your future! Listen, what God is bringing your way cannot be seen with your human eye. It is about time you get into the Spirit, get into prayer, and with the eye of faith, behold the massive construction work God is doing in your life. And when He is done with you, you will be moved from one level to a higher one. What people said cannot be achieved, you will achieve it in a matter of days and the levels they thought impossible, you will go pass it!

The new thing is going to be far greater than you’ve ever seen before. It’s going to be bigger than you imagined. It’s going to be more rewarding than you thought possible. Get into agreement with God today. Watch out: Something big is coming your way today. Receive it!

Prayer
Father God, I thank You for loving me and choosing me for Your good purposes. I choose to set my affection on You today knowing that You are working behind the scenes on my behalf. Give me Your peace and strength as I wait patiently on You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

SPEAK TO YOUR MOUNTAINS
And Jesus answered them, Truly I say to you, if you have faith (a firm relying trust) and do not doubt, you will not only do what has been done to the fig tree, but even if you say to this mountain, Be taken up and cast into the sea, it will be done. Matthew 21:21 (AMP)

We all have seasons when the challenges of life feel overwhelming. During those times, it is easy to be tempted to talk about how bad things are. Maybe it is a bad medical report you received or a financial obstacle you’re facing. But understand that the more you talk about something, the bigger it becomes in your mind.

Instead, identify your stand in God and refuse to give life to that defeat. Confess that you are not going to allow the imminent symptoms of sickness, lack or fear take over your thinking because you refuse to talk about them. Rather choose a different report and start believing in the report of the Lord which says that you are blessed, favored, prosperous, healthy, whole, a victor and not a victim. Bear this in mind that the promises of God for your life far outnumber the challenges that you are going through so make a choice to confess promises instead of problems!

Even if you don’t see how things could ever work out, God does. You’ve got to speak to those mountains in your life and declare favor over those situations. Instead of talking to God about how big your problems are, talk to your problems about how big your God is! As you speak to your mountains, they will be moved and victory will be yours!

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your Word which is life to my spirit. I receive Your strength today and choose to speak to the mountains so I can move forward in the victory You have in store for me. I overcome every intimidation from the past today in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

GET YOUR JOY BACK
Though you have not seen Him, you love Him; and even though you do not see Him now, you believe in Him and are filled with an inexpressible and glorious joy. 1 Peter 1:8 (NIV)

Have you experienced something that has taken your joy and enthusiasm for your future? Has there been a recent setback in your life that stole your joy and made you contemplate ending it all? Today is the day to get that joy back! God has you here on purpose and for a purpose. It’s time to get excited about your future and learn to enjoy each and every day.

If you don’t make the conscious effort to keep your joy, not only will the enemy rob you of the joy that belongs to you, but he will rob your family and friends of the gift that you have to give them. When you have joy, you can use that joy to influence the people around you for good. Joy is strength, and when you have joy, you can offer strength to the people God has placed in your life. Don’t allow the enemy to sap your strength by stealing your joy. No matter what comes your way, protect that inner joy you have because you are a child of God!

Today, draw the line and decide, “I’m not going to live another day negative, discouraged and bitter. I’m going to put on a smile and rejoice in the Lord.” Choose to keep your heart open and let your faith in God fill you with inexpressible and glorious joy!

Prayer
Dear Lord, I thank You for Your love. Thank You for choosing me and molding me into Your image. Today, I invite You to fill me with Your inexpressible, glorious joy so that I can be a blessing to the people You have placed in my life. I boast in You today in Jesus’ name, amen.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

WHAT ARE YOU HUNGRY FOR?
Blessed are those who hunger and thirst for righteousness, for they will be filled. Matthew 5:6 (NIV)

In the natural realm, what do you do when you are hungry for something? Maybe you think of something to eat, but it doesn’t quite hit the spot because of certain factors. So you find something else that can make you satisfied temporarily. Spiritual hunger works the same way.

There are times when you may feel a restlessness or unsettledness in your life, but you can’t quite figure out what will satisfy it. You may try to fill that need with other things like food, addictive behaviors, entertainment and even people, but you always find out later that only God can fill that hunger. Today’s verse tells us that righteousness is what satisfies us. When you hunger and thirst for righteousness, which is God’s way of doing things, you will be spiritually satisfied.

Just like you have to stop what you are doing to take time to eat in the natural, you have to take time to “eat” or partake of the right things spiritually. We have to take time every day and devote it to the Lord in prayer, worship and studying His Word. We have to go the extra mile to stay in fellowship with other believers at church. And remember, when you seek God’s ways, you get God’s results of life, joy, peace and satisfaction in Him all the days of your life!

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the promise to fill my hunger. I open my heart to You and ask that You draw me by Your Spirit. Teach me to walk in Your ways of righteousness that I may honor and serve You all the days of my life. I bless Your name today in Jesus’ name. Amen.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

FOLLOW THE LEADER
God is with us; He is our leader. 2 Chronicles 13:12 (TLB)

Whoever leads you goes a long way to determine how far you can rise. Question is: Is God your leader? Do you allow Him to lead you in every area of life? Lots of time, people set out in a direction of life or make decisions and then “look around” to see where God is. They try to fit Him into their schedule, but really, He should be in charge of our schedules.

Others ask God to bless their decisions when, instead, we should follow His ways because His ways are already blessed! You see, the thing with allowing God to lead you is that He knows the end from the beginning. He is the “Alpha” and the “Omega” – the Author and finisher of our faith. With Him in control, you can securely look into the future with great expectation.

Today, instead of incorporating God into your day, ask Him to lead your day. Ask the Holy Spirit to search your heart and mind and see if there are any areas you need to submit to Him. Remember, He is with you and He is for you. When we allow Him to order our steps, when we seek Him first and follow Him as our leader, then nothing can stand in our way! Go out in victory today knowing that God is ordering your steps.

Prayer
Father, I thank You for going with me and leading me into victory day by day. I choose to trust and rely on You, knowing that You have a good plan for me. I know that Your ways are higher, and so I submit myself to You in every area of my life. Thank You in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

FRESH GRACE EVERY DAY
Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble. Matthew 6:34

Most people are so worried about a lot of things: “I am concerned about the big business deal that I have to close tomorrow” or “I am worried about tomorrow’s job interview” or “My medical test results will be out tomorrow.” God does not want you to worry about tomorrow.

He wants you to know that He gives you all the help you need for today and when tomorrow comes, so will fresh help from Him. In the Old Testament, God gave the Israelites fresh manna from heaven every morning when they were on the desert. They did not have to worry about tomorrow because when tomorrow came, there was fresh manna again. He was their provision every day. God’s manna is the grace He gives you every day. If you are worried about a situation tomorrow, know that there will be sufficient grace for that situation when it comes.

God wants you to simply rest in His ability to heal, deliver, protect and provide for you every day. When you see a problem looming in your tomorrow, don’t be afraid or dismayed. Always look to the Lord and see His grace and salvation deliver you. Understand that God wants you to live a stress-free life, not one filled with worries about tomorrow’s problems. Your God is well able to see you through each day!

Confession
I refuse to live a stressful life; one that is filled with anxiety, despair and fear. My God is the all-sufficient One and He is well able to see me through each day. The troubles I see in tomorrow are just platforms to lift me into my prominence. I thank you Lord for Your daily provision!

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

RECEIVING THE OVERFLOW
...we went through fire and water, but you brought us to a place of abundance. Psalm 66:12 (NIV)

Friend, no matter what your circumstances may look like today, God’s plan is to bring you through to a place of abundance. He wants you to have an abundance of peace, an abundance of joy, an abundance of resources. He wants you to overflow with His blessings so that you can be a blessing to the people around you.

One thing that you need to know is that if you want to live in the overflow of God’s blessings, you must have an attitude to receive the overflow. Remember, as a believer in Jesus, you are a child of the Most High God. That means royal blood is flowing through your veins. You were not created to be average or to live in mediocrity. You were not created to barely get by and drag through life. You have seeds of greatness on the inside. You are well able to do whatever God has called you to do!

Today, I encourage you to push your shoulders up, hold your head up high and start thinking like a victor. And when you are a victor, you know that any adversity in your life is not permanent, it’s only temporary. Have the attitude to receive the overflow of God’s abundance. Keep believing and keep expecting because it’s just a matter of time until He turns things around in your favor!

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the Word. Today I open my mind and heart to You. I choose to believe that You have a good plan for me. By faith today, I receive the blessings You have for me so that I can be a blessing to others. May Your name be praised in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

THE GOD OF COMFORT
As a mother comforts her child, so will I comfort you... Isaiah 66:13 (NIV)

Oftentimes, when people face challenges, they seek comfort in things that are familiar. It may be work, an activity or a relationship; things that they believe can bring them the comfort they seek. But note that those things only bring temporary comfort. True comfort is found in a personal relationship with God through His Son, Jesus Christ.

According to Webster’s dictionary, comfort means to give strength and hope; to ease grief or trouble. No matter what difficulty you may be facing today, God wants to bring you comfort. Like a mother cares for her child, He longs to give you strength, hope and confidence. Listen, Bible says that if even your earthly parents know how to give you the best, how much more you Heavenly Father; He knows the best, wants the best, prepares the best for you. Remember that there is no salvation in any other name except Jesus. “Salvation” also involves your comfort!

Today, make the decision to put God first in every area of your life. Let go of those things you know are holding you back. Let Him bring you comfort by allowing Him to be Lord over all the areas of your heart. As you surrender to His grace, you will be filled with His peace and joy. You’ll receive His comfort and be empowered to overcome in this life!

Prayer
Father in heaven, I come to You today and invite You to fill my whole being. Give me Your comfort and strength and empower me by Your Holy Spirit to live in the victory You have planned for me. May I find solace in knowing you all the days of my life in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

EVERY CURSE IN YOUR LIFE IS DESTROYED
Christ has redeemed us from the curse of the law, having become a curse for us (for it is written, “Cursed is everyone who hangs on a tree”). Galatians 3:13

Many believers probably know that when Jesus died, our sins were forgiven because He shed His blood. Without the shedding of blood, there is no forgiveness of sins. But why did Jesus have to die on the cross, since the capital punishment of Israel during the time of Christ was stoning and not crucifixion?

Jesus hung and died on the cross because He knew the law says in Deuteronomy 21:23 that “he who is hanged is accursed of God.” He wanted to redeem us from every curse of the law, so He went to the cross, “…having become a curse for us.” Jesus took all our curses at the cross, so that we can take all His blessings! The moment you received Jesus, every curse in your life was destroyed. And the way you experience this is to simply believe and confess what Jesus has done for you. Say, “Because of Jesus, I am blessed.” The more you say it and believe it, the more you will experience it.

Today, if there is any area in your life in which you feel oppressed or suppressed, then confess that “Christ has redeemed me from this condition. I refuse it and reject it in Jesus’ name because I am redeemed from every curse!” Believe in your confession and don’t stop confessing until you see it!

Confession
I confess today that every curse that was over my life is broken in Jesus’ name. I am declared free and who the Son sets free is free indeed. The past cannot control me again because I have been bought by the precious blood of Jesus. I am living the overcoming life in Jesus’ name.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

RISE HIGHER
He who walks with the wise grows wise, but a companion of fools suffers harm. Proverbs 13:20 (NIV)

Sometimes in order to embrace the destiny God has in store for you, you have to be willing to make some difficult changes in your life. You have to be willing to examine where you are, where God is taking you to and what you need to do in order to move forward. This may mean that you need to change some friends you are spending time with.

Maybe they were fine for a season in your life, but you have outgrown them. This is a new season and in order for you to rise higher, you have to break away from relationships that are limiting you. You have to develop some new friendships with people who are going to pull you up and inspire you to rise higher. If you used to hang around people who spoke negatively, profanely or cursed at every given opportunity before you became a Christian, your new state should compel you not to dwell in that kind of company again.

If you are the smartest one in your group, it probably means your group is too small. Find people who are smarter than you, people who will challenge you to stretch to the next level. Remember, he who walks with the wise becomes wise. Choose your friends wisely so that you can rise higher and walk in the destiny God has for you.

Prayer
Father God, I thank You for Your grace and mercy. Thank You for the good plan You have for my life. Help me choose my friends and companions wisely so that I can continue to move forward in my divine purpose. I am grateful for where you are taking me to in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

GIVE YOUR FAITH A TARGET
Faith is the confidence that what we hope for will actually happen; it gives us assurance about things we cannot see. Hebrews 11:1 (NLT)

So many people today are either depressed, brokenhearted or discouraged because they only focus on their present circumstances. They are constantly dwelling on their problems, what they don’t have, and what is wrong with them. They don’t realize it, but they are only allowing the enemy to steal their hope.

A negative frame of mind is what keeps people from moving forward in life of abundance Jesus won for us by His death on the cross. Understand today that faith is confidence and assurance about the things we hope for according to the promises of God. Like an arrow, your faith points to the target of hope. If you don’t have hope, that arrow of faith has nothing to aim for. It won’t accomplish anything. But when you keep your hopes up, when you keep expecting and believing, it’s like making that target larger and larger and easier to hit! God’s Word of promise therefore becomes your target!

Choose today to live with an attitude of expectancy. Don’t focus on your circumstances; focus on your God! Get your hopes up! Take captive every negative thought. As you focus on God’s goodness and faithfulness, you will feel that hope inside of you growing. Give your faith a target and move forward confidently in the direction of your dreams!

Prayer
Father in heaven, today I surrender every thought to You. I choose to release my cares and concerns so I can focus on Your goodness. Thank You for the gift of faith to see the impossible become possible as I continue to place my hope and confidence in You. In Jesus’ name, Amen.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

USE YOUR WORDS TO GIVE LIFE
The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters... Proverbs 18:4 (NIV)

All over the world, there are people who are lonely, people who are hurting, those who have been through disappointments; they have suffered heartache and pain. As believers, God has given us something to offer them. We have life-giving, refreshing water in us.

With our words, we can bring healing. With our words, we can lift them out of depression. With our words, we can tell them, “You are beautiful. You are amazing. You are talented. God has a bright future in front of you.” Those life-giving words will break the chains of depression. They will break the chains of low self-esteem. You can help set people free from the strongholds that are keeping them back. You may not know all that is happening, but God can take one compliment, one encouraging word, and use that to begin the healing process and set that person on a brand new course. And when you help break the chains off of others, any chains that you might have will be broken off, too!

Today, choose to speak encouragement. Choose to speak life. Tell others what they can become, give compliments, and live life as a healer. Pour out that life-giving water with your words and watch it come back to you in abundance!

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for allowing Your healing waters to flow through me by your precious Son, Jesus. Today, I pour out life onto others and refresh them with life-giving words. Direct my words, order my steps, and let everything I do glorify You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

DON'T DOWNPLAY YOUR BLESSING
For this I will give you thanks and extol You, O Lord, among the nations; I will sing praises to Your name. 2 Samuel 22:50 (AMP)

In this life, anytime you begin to succeed and walk in the full blessing of God, people are surely going to criticize. People will judge you. Others will be jealous. But you know what? That is their problem. Don’t apologize for what God is doing in your life. In all humility, show forth His praise and celebrate His goodness in your life.

When you make excuses for God’s goodness, when you downplay His blessings and favor or call it luck or coincidence, really, that’s an insult to our God. The scripture says in Deuteronomy that “It is the Lord that gives you the power to get wealth.” That means God is the One giving you the ideas. He’s the One that’s giving you the creativity. He’s giving you the strength to succeed. He gave you the favor. He strategically linked you to someone who will favor you. As long as you stay humble and give Him all the credit, you have nothing to apologize for.

Our job as believers is to make Him known. We should be examples of His goodness, peace, hope, joy and life. Today, don’t shrink back from giving God all the credit. Don’t downplay your blessing. Thank Him and praise Him for what He’s doing in your life now and what He will do in your future. Make Him known and give Him all the glory!

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for Your hand of blessing upon my life. I give You all the glory, honor and praise because I know that every good and perfect gift is from You. I open my heart and mind to receive what You have in store for me today in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

PAPA ON MINISTERIAL TRIP TO NEW YORK, USA!

HE WAS IN TEMPLE OF PRAISE MINISTRIES, NEW YORK (USA)

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

THIS ONE THING
...I focus on this one thing: Forgetting the past and looking forward to what lies ahead. Philippians 3:13 (NLT)

Take this: if you will let go of the past, you will have enough room to embrace the good things stored up in your future. You only need to be determined to forget the past. I know many people don’t fully understand what means to forget the past. They wonder, “How can I forget something that has happened to me?”

But one definition of the word forget is to disregard intentionally or to consciously overlook. In other words, you have to choose to disregard your past so that it doesn’t hold you back or determine the outcome of your future. That includes both the good and the bad past. Sometimes our past victories keep us from rising higher as much as our past failures can. If we don’t let go of the old, we will never be able to embrace the new. Turn the good old days into the better today and the best tomorrow!

It doesn’t matter what happened in your past, it’s time to forget what lies behind and make the choice to look forward. Trust that God has a better future in store for you. Trust that He’s working behind the scenes on your behalf. Trust that He who has promised you is faithful. As you forget what lies behind and press forward, you’ll experience His power and blessing in a fresh, new better way.

Prayer
Father in heaven, I choose to forget the past today. I don’t want anything from it to hold me back from the great future You have prepared for me. I choose forgiveness and ask that You help me, by Your Spirit, to press forward in every area of my life. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

DON'T BE LIMITED
And Jabez was more honorable than his brethren: and his mother called his name Jabez, saying, ‘Because I bare him with sorrow.’ 1 Chronicles 4:9

Do you find yourself in a situation where everything you do is opposed? Have you gotten to a state where you are at the brink of throwing away your confidence in the Lord’s promise for you? Hebrews 10:35 says, “Cast not away therefore your confidence, which hath great recompense of reward.” This is because nothing should be able to limit you.

Jabez was more honorable, more favored and physically handsome than any member of his family, yet he was limited by the meaning of his name. His name meant one who was born in sorrow. Yes, he was honorable than all others, but he was also full of sorrow. Nevertheless, when Jabez travailed in prayer his destiny transformed. Every successful person had to overcome a limitation before reaching higher levels in life.

God has destined you to excel so refuse to be a failure or a by-word. 1 Corinthians 16:9, “a great door and effectual is opened unto me, and there are many adversaries” but God leads us to triumph in Christ (2 Corinthians 2:14). Decide today not to allow finances, fear, education, sickness, age, height or society to limit you. Get into prayer & renew your mind with the word of God and nothing can limit you this year!

Prayer
I thank you Lord that you have designed a great future for me. I know that the devil will do anything possible to limit me from getting to where you want me to get to, but as I stay in touch with your Spirit, nothing can limit me. I thank you in Jesus’ name, Amen.

GRATITUDE
Jesus asked, ‘Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the other nine? Was no-one found to return and give praise to God except this foreigner?’ Then he said to him, ‘Rise and go; your faith has made you well.’ Luke 17:17-19

Gratitude is a feeling of thankfulness and an expression of appreciation for a favor or goodness done to you. It is the way to ascend to greater heights in life. God expects us to be grateful for all the blessings He’s given unto us. Unfortunately, some people don’t even value what they have much more give thanks for them.

Jesus healed ten men suffering from leprosy and later, one of them came back to express his appreciation for the act of favor. By this simple act of gratitude, doors for greater blessing were opened unto him. The Lord established the man’s deliverance; “rise up and go for your faith has made you well” (Luke 17:19). The simple act of saying ‘thank you’ gave him something extra than what the other nine received.

Gratitude is a way of receiving a little more than what everybody receives. Change your prayer from asking God for things to thanking Him for what He has given unto you. Gratitude is a way of expressing faith in God. Anytime you feel like complaining about anything in your life, choose to thank God. Thank Him when everything is well with you, thank Him when everything is against you and thank Him when you have nothing to say.

Prayer
I bless you Lord that you are always doing new things and leading me in victory all day long. I now understand how gratefulness can establish my blessings. May my heart and my mouth always burst forth in gratitude for all you have done in Jesus’ name. Amen.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

PREPARING FOR A GREAT DAY
I will praise the Lord at all times. I will constantly speak His praises. Psalm 34:1 (NLT)

When you wake up in the morning, do you expect the goodness of God in your life? Do you set the tone of the day for success, favor and blessing? Unfortunately, most folks wake up in the morning still carrying the worry of the past and anxious of what would happen in the course of the day. They carry the troubles of the past into the present.

It doesn’t matter what happened yesterday, last week, last month or last year; today is a new day. This moment, you have power to make a change in your life. Things may be bad all around you. People may be negative, complaining and discouraged, but don’t let that spirit rub off on you. Instead, choose to bless the Lord at all times. Let His praise continually be in your mouth.

Remember, the path of the righteous is like the light of dawn shining brighter and brighter until the full day. Stay determined to set the tone for each new day by speaking words of faith over your future. As you do, you will enlarge your vision and make room for God to do amazing things in every area of your life!

Prayer
Father in heaven, I choose to bless you at all times. I choose to set the tone to receive your favor, grace and mercy. I thank you for your faithfulness to me at all times. I choose to constantly speak your praises, your honor and your glory in Jesus’ name. Amen.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

THE SWORD OF THE SPIRIT
And take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God. Ephesians 6:17

The word of God can either be referred to as ‘Logos’ – the total utterance of God, the complete revelation of what God has said or ‘Rhema’ – the specific saying of God, a passage or a verse that has special application to an immediate situation. The term used in the memory verse is ‘Rhema’.

The sword of the Spirit, the rhema word of God, is a great weapon placed in the hands of a believer. It is experienced as you read the scripture, the words suddenly come alive, take on flesh and bones and become part of you. We often experience this in moments of temptation or doubt, which Paul calls the flaming arrows of the evil one in Ephesians 6:16. The word is our God-given answer to the attack of the devil, who comes to discourage us, to steal, kill and destroy.

The more we study the word, the more the Spirit can use this mighty sword in our lives. If you don’t study your Bible, you are terribly exposed to defeat and despair. You have no defense, you have nothing to put up against the forces of darkness. Therefore, read your Bible regularly. Take the word, heed to it and obey it!

Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for the gift of today. I acknowledge the practical import of knowing your word. Help me to take your rhema word seriously and use this great armor that is given to me in Christ. I thwart the plans of the enemy in Jesus’ name. Amen.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

WORK TO PLEASE THE LORD
Not in the way of eye-service, as men-pleasers, but as servants of Christ, doing the will of God from the heart. Ephesians 6:6 (RSV)

As Christians we must always remember that we are working unto the Lord. Our daily chore is work that God has given us and we do it as unto Him. Even when you work under a mean boss, you must learn to work with the joy of the Lord in your heart. This way, you will find fulfillment in the work of your hand.

You will never be bored in your work when you recognize that whatever you do, the eye of the Lord is upon you and when you recognize that He will reward you based on your faithfulness. The memory verse talks of two kinds of people – those who pay eye service and men-pleasers. These people only work when their boss is watching or they falsely flatter the boss and try to gain their favor at the expense of others.

Christians are called away from paying eye-service or being men-pleasers. Whatever we do, we do it in the will of God. We are stewards of every work that we do. 1 Corinthians 4:2 says, “Moreover it is required in stewards, that a man be found faithful.” Let your co-workers know the God you serve by working in all faithfulness and diligence as unto the Lord. God placed you in that particular place as His ambassador.

Prayer
Father, I thank you for today. I live before you and I acknowledge that there is no area of my life that is not subject to your gaze and to your judgment. Lord, grant to me that I correct what is wrong in my own work in the light of this word in Jesus’ name. Amen.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE!

IMITATING GOD
Be imitators of God, therefore, as dearly loved children. Ephesians 5:1

The word ‘imitators’ in Greek translation means to mimic – following the pattern or the example. The memory verse admonishes us to follow the pattern or example of God or simply, to be God-like. That is the goal of Christianity – to produce men and women who are God-like in the midst of an ungodly world.

Note that it does not mean we are called to be God because only God is sovereign and does what He likes. We are to be a reflection of the one true and holy God. What does being God-like means? It means we will walk in God’s strength and be filled with His power. It means we will be happy with a different kind of happiness than the world is seeking after. It means we will be wiser and kinder than we have ever been before.

God creates and redeems; He makes things live and heals that which is broken. God is life and God is love. He is our Maker and our Healer. These attributes are what He imparts to you if you become godly. You will live to the fullest capacity of your humanity. You will demonstrate the capacity to love and to heal, to restore and bring together. Begin to live in this higher life in Christ!

Prayer
Father, I thank you for glorifying me to conform to your express image. I thank you that you have chosen me to be godlike. Teach me to know that there might break out in our lonely, confused age this wonder of godlikeness. Thank you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
