IT'S OUT NOW!!!!!!!! (FOL - 3RD EDITION, 2011)
AWESOME.......The third (3rd) Quarter edition of your ever-powerful and ever-inspiring Fountain of Life - Daily Devotional Guide written by Rev Alex Owusu Amankwah is out. The book, which has made immense impact in the lives of all who use it quarter after quarter was launched last Sunday at the Praise Sanctuary by the Papa himself. Launching it, he encouraged every church member to ardently use the book since there are numerous testimonies always flooding in from people who use the book consistently. Through the use of this book, many have been inspired morning after morning, many have received their salvation and a lot more have joined the church. One awesome testimony through the years is that of the impact it made on the life of Elder Dr Richard Amponsah, lecturer - GIMPA. He came in contact with this devotional guide, found it impacting and later made a decision to join the church. In his own testimony, he continues to study the book with his students before every morning lecture and many have been touched by it.
Watch out for a copy coming to your branch soon. If you also need a copy or more, please contact the Administrator on (+233)0201466052, the Presiding Elder on (+233)0244253607 or Pastor Richmond on (+233)0243839139. You can also contact the same numbers if you want to be a partner who supports the ministry of this great man of God (Rev Alex Owusu Amankwah). I can assure you that as you begin to use this book each morning, God will not only meet your daily need, but He will always draw you into Him. SEE YOU ON THE TOP!!!

A NEW WAY OF THINKING
And no one puts new wine into old wineskins; or else the new wine bursts the wineskins, the wine is spilled, and the wineskins are ruined. But new wine must be put into new wineskins. Mark 2:22 (NKJV)
Are you ready for increase? Are you ready to go to the next level spiritually, physically and emotionally? In today's verse, Jesus is basically saying that you can't go to a new level with an old way of thinking.
Many people hear the truth that God has more in store for them and something resonates on the inside. Their spirit comes into agreement with God. But often, their natural minds try to talk them out of it. Negative thoughts like ‘It's not going to happen for you’ or ‘you're not going to have a great year’ or ‘you're never going to get well’ or ‘you're never going to get married’ come into the mind.
Dear, those are the old wineskins you have to get rid of. This is a new season. What happened in the past is over and done. You may have been through some disappointments, you may have tried and failed or things didn't work out. That's okay. We serve a God of restoration. It's time to get a new vision for your life. It's time to open yourself to a new way of thinking so that you can move forward and receive all the blessings God has in store for you!
Confession
Yes, I may have tried and failed or things may not have gone according to plan, but I refuse to accept that as my lot. I see accomplishments and great success today. I overcome the things that intimidated me in the past. I scale over every obstacle and I celebrate my victory today!
Prayer
Father in heaven, today I choose to get rid of old wineskins. I choose to release old thinking, old habits, and anything that would keep me from Your best. Strengthen me by Your Spirit so that I can live my life in a way that pleases You in Jesus' Name. Amen.

THE TONGUE OF THE WISE
Reckless words pierce like a sword, but the tongue of the wise brings healing. Proverbs 12:18 (NIV)
Words can be used as a weapon. We've all either been ‘cut’ by the words of others or we've used words to put someone ‘in their place.’ The truth is when we use words recklessly or in a way that cuts others, we are not being wise. Bible tells us that the tongue of the wise brings life and healing to others.
See, it’s easy to outline all the wrong things the other person has done against you and justify why you said what you said to him or her. But remember that while we were yet sinners, Christ loved and died for us. He didn’t wait for us to be perfect before extending to us His arm of mercy and forgiveness. No matter what has been done or said against you, you have no justification as a child of God to use idle words.
Today, look for ways to be wise. Find something nice to say about someone or share an encouraging word. You never know how you can bring healing to a person's heart by sharing a kind, gracious word. Words are like seeds. When you plant words of life and blessing into others, you're sure to reap a harvest of blessing in your own life in return.
Confession
I use my words today to bring life, healing, hope and encouragement into the lives of all the people I will have an encounter with. I speak life and I speak progress. I declare that no idle or reckless word will come out of my mouth today. I walk in the perfect love of God today!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, today I choose to be wise. I submit my tongue to You and choose to use it for good and not for evil. Show me ways to be a blessing to others. Help me to find creative ways to encourage the people You have placed in my life in Jesus' Name. Amen.

A SPIRIT OF UNITY
May the God who gives endurance and encouragement give you a spirit of unity among yourselves as you follow Christ Jesus. Romans 15:5 (NIV)
Do you find that you are surrounded by people all the time, but yet you still feel disconnected? In your family, is everyone going in different directions, always busy, always doing their own thing? I've found that we really have to make a conscious effort to walk and live in unity with the people in our lives and not allow distractions to pull us apart.
Walking in a spirit of unity goes beyond just getting along, it's about going the extra mile to support one another and lift each other up. If you want to get the most out of life, you've got to draw a line in the sand and tell yourself, ‘I'm going to slow down and connect with the people I love. I'm not going to take my relationships for granted.’
Start today by calling a friend or family member that you haven't talked to in a while. Reach out to them and let them know they are important. Make time to have dinner as a family and support each other's activities. When you walk and live in unity, you bless the Lord and open the door for His supernatural blessing in your own life in return!
Confession
I declare today that my family is strengthened, coordinated and renewed in the spirit of unity. As a result, no weapon formed against us as a family can stand. My family cannot be a victim of circumstances; we shall live to see the goodness of God all our lives. I bless my family today!
Prayer
Father in heaven, I thank You for the relationships in my life. Help me find creative ways to connect with the people I love. Help me to walk and live in a spirit of unity as You commanded. In Jesus' Name. Amen.

NEW DEACONS
These are the latest Deacons of the Praise Sanctuary with their wives (except for Deacon Prince). From left, Deacon and Mrs Oppong-Yeboah, Deacon and Mrs Tawiah, Deacon Prince (single) and Deacon and Mrs Danso-Appenteng. May they walk, talk and work with the grace and mercies of God and may they become examples to both the saved and the unsaved. May they walk worthy of their calling and may Holy Spirit begin to stir up any dormant gifts in them. And may God use them to fulfill His ultimate purpose - building His kingdom. God bless you Deacons!!!
ON SUNDAY 19TH JUNE @ THE PRAISE SANCTUARY!
For want of words, it can only be captioned AWESOME!!! It was ORDINATION SERVICE and at the same time FATHER'S DAY. In attendance were two (2) prominent Fathers of Temple of Praise Ministries worldwide - Rev Osei Owusu Cobbina (General Overseer) and Rev Alex Owusu Amankwah (Head Pastor - Accra). From the start of service to the end, not only was the presence of God tangible, but there was joy and excitement in the atmosphere. The Praise Sanctuary was filled with the glory of the Lord. Attendance was massive, Praise and Worship were powerful, Choir ministration was awesome and Word Ministration by the General Overseer ("Pearls of Attraction") was spot on.
The two main events for the day were Ordination Service and Father's Day Special...
Ordination Service
After being called upon by Rev Alex, being charged by Rev Cobbina and being anointed by both men of God, the following were ordained Deacons:
Deacon Isaac Oppong-Yeboah
Deacon Kwaku Tawiah
Deacon Villas Danso-Appenteng
Deacon Prince Asamoah Asubonteng
And the following were ordained Elders:
Elder Joseph Opoku-Adjei
Elder Stephen Nyame-Yeboah
Elder Frank Kwame Boadan
Father's Day Special
The Papa of the ministry, Rev Osei Owusu Cobbina, was presented with a father's day token by Rev Alex on behalf of the entire church....
And then the surprise package...
Rev Alex was presented with a father's day gift of a brand new Mitsubishi 4x4 - a gift from the Elders of the church. This benevolence charged the entire church to the extent that the congregation promised to also sow a seed next Sunday for the man of God so they can share in the joy of Pastor's New Car. It was such a joyous moment, one that sparked tears of joy in the eyes of the man of God who was almost speechless. Rev Cobbina thanked the Elders and the church on behalf of Rev Alex.
Sunday, 19th June, 2011, was really a memorable day in the life of Temple of Praise Ministries - Tesano. God is really taking us to the next level and it is for this reason that we invite you to join in the celebration at the Praise Sanctuary. You are always welcome!!! ON TOP FOR JESUS!!!!!!!

RECOGNIZE WHAT YOU HAVE
So David triumphed over the Philistine with a sling and a stone; without a sword in his hand he struck down the Philistine and killed him. 1 Samuel 17:50 (NIV)
So often we focus on what we don’t have, how big our obstacles are, and how bad the economy is. You could be thinking that you don’t have the connections or you don’t have anybody to help you out of your incumbent predicament or maybe you don’t have the resources to accomplish your dreams.
Listen, everything you need to fulfill your destiny is within reach. God will always use something that is close to you. It may not look extraordinary, but you have what it takes to fulfill your destiny. When David faced the giant, Goliath, all he had was a slingshot and five stones. It looked ordinary. He could have thought, ‘I’m not going to face Goliath. That would be foolish. I don’t have a chance.’ No, David knew that with God on his side, those ordinary stones would be exactly what he needed. Sure enough, David defeated Goliath and made history.
Today, remember that victory isn’t about what you have; it’s about God’s anointing on what you have. With God on your side, all things are possible! Focus on Him and what He can do in your life because He has extraordinary things in store for you.
Confession
I reckon today that my victory is not attached to what I have, but about God’s anointing on what I have. I know that all things are possible today because I know that God is on my side. I see the fulfillment of my dream today. God is my only connection to greatness today!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for equipping me for success and victory in this life. Help me to clearly see the opportunities, connections and resources You have ordained for me. I trust that with You, all things are possible. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

EVERYDAY IS A GIFT
Teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. Psalm 90:12 (NIV)
Sometimes our days can be so full and busy that we forget how fragile life really is. It’s easy to allow little things to creep in and steal our peace and joy. Maybe something doesn’t go our way or someone says something upsetting. Even traffic can cause us to lose focus if we let it. We have to remember that each day is a gift.
Listen, if you choose to focus on what’s wrong, you’ll miss the beauty that each day has to offer. I encourage you today; don’t let the precious moments of life pass you by. Don’t wait for holidays and birthdays to show people that you care. Remember, each day is unique and irreplaceable. You have been given time that can be invested or wasted; hours that can be used or misused.
That is why the psalmist prayed to God, ‘Teach us to number our days.’ He was saying, ‘Teach us to value every moment we’ve been given.’ As you daily keep a proper perspective, you’ll gain a heart of wisdom. You’ll draw closer to God and experience the full blessing that God has for you each and every day!
Confession
Today is a unique day. It is an irreplaceable gift from the Lord and I rejoice in it. I take hold of all the beautiful things this day has to offer. I declare that in this day, I will be above only, I will excel and I will accomplish lots of things. I will achieve results this day because I am an asset!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the gift of today. I choose to focus on the blessing of each moment instead of allowing the little things to steal my joy. Keep me close to You always as I submit every area of my heart and mind to You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

UNWRAP THE GIFT
He who did not spare His own Son, but gave Him up for us all — how will He not also, along with Him, graciously give us all things? Romans 8:32 (NIV)
Imagine waking up on Christmas morning and seeing a pile of presents under the tree, but never opening them. Imagine that your friends and family spent a lot of money on you, buying you things you need and desire but could never afford. Imagine that you even know what was inside those packages, but just decided to let them sit under the tree day in and day out, year after year.
After all, now you have what you’ve always dreamed of. You own whatever is in those boxes. If anyone asked, you would say, ‘Yes, I have that.’ But it wouldn’t do you any good because you would never be able to use those gifts unless you took the time to unwrap those packages. Dear, it’s the same way with God. He wants you to have an abundant life. His gifts are all right there for you wrapped up in the Word of God.
‘Open’ them by meditating on His Word, obeying His commands and declaring it out of your mouth. Don’t let a single present sit ‘under the tree’ any longer. Jesus paid a precious price so you could have both eternal life and abundant life. Unwrap your gifts and live in His fullness today!
Confession
I unwrap all the packages of blessings from God today. As I unwrap them from the Word of God, I take hold of them and begin to walk in them. I declare that favor, grace, joy, prosperity, marital blessings and fruit of the womb, divine health and promotion are mine today!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, today I receive every good and perfect promise You have for me. I choose to take a step of faith to activate Your Word in my life. Teach me, by Your Spirit, to walk and live according to Your precepts. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Not as the World Gives
Peace I leave with you; My peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid. John 14:27 (NIV)
So many people today are looking for true, inner peace. They search through relationships, addictions, money, gadgets and even religion to try to find something that will fill the void inside. But true peace isn’t found in anything this world has to offer, it can only be found through a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.
Remember that only God can satisfy the longing in our souls and give us true, lasting peace. God gives freely, not as the world gives. You can’t earn it, and you can’t pay for it. There’s no catch, no fine print and no strings attached. You can rest assure that He’s not ever going to take His peace away; His peace is eternal! A life of peace begins when you invite Jesus to be your Lord and Savior. Then as you align your thoughts, attitudes and actions with His Word, that peace will flood every area.
Peace is how we know we are following God’s plan because God’s plan always leads to peace! Today, if you’re looking for peace, call upon His name. Invite Jesus to be your Lord and Savior, follow His Word and allow His peace to flood every area of your life.
Confession
I surrender every facet of my life to the Eternal King of all peace and I receive His peace into my life. The peace of God makes me rest assure that my future is better than my past. I align my thinking, my actions and my attitudes to the will of God. Today, I see increase in my life!
Prayer
Dear God, I thank You for the gift of peace which passes all understanding. I receive Your peace today and trust that You are leading and guiding me in the good plan You have prepared for me. I bless you Holy name in Jesus’ name I pray.

STRENGTH TO OVERCOME
I have given you authority...to overcome all the power of the enemy; nothing will harm you. Luke 10:19 (NIV)
God has given you all power and authority to overcome every obstacle you may face in life. That means you are well able to do what God has called you to do. You can accomplish your goals. You have the ideas, the creativity and the talent to be successful. You have been armed with strength for every battle!
Listen, even when your strength wanes, God has promised to perfect your weakness with His strength so you do not lack strength. Listen, God has already lined up the right people to come across your path; He’s already lined up the right opportunities. You have everything you need to live a victorious life. Not an average life, not a barely-get-by, not a mediocre life; you were created to excel. You have seeds of greatness on the inside.
You may not have seen it in the past, but if you’ll stay in faith, it’s just a matter of time — victory is on the way. Don’t settle where you are. Rise up in strength today and begin to declare, ‘I will accomplish my dreams. I can overcome any obstacle. I’ve been equipped and empowered to live in victory.’
Confession
I will accomplish all my dreams and ambitions and no obstacle can stop me. I have been equipped to live in victory and so I refuse to live in mediocrity. I rise up in faith and take over all that I survey. I am placed above kings and nations to root out and destroy, to build and plant!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for the power to overcome every obstacle I may face. Help me to see myself the way You see me. Help me to embrace the victory You have in store for me today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

DO NOT BE AFRAID
...an angel of the Lord appeared to him in a dream. ‘Joseph, son of David,’ the angel said, ‘do not be afraid to take Mary as your wife. For the child within her was conceived by the Holy Spirit.’ Matthew 1:20 (NLT)
Have you ever felt overwhelmed or afraid of what God has called you to do? Maybe you pursued a dream or goal in the past and things didn’t turn out the way you planned. Now you’re uncertain of the future. Does the future scare you?
In the Bible, Joseph had planned to take Mary as his wife, but when he found out she was pregnant, he didn’t know what to think. He was afraid that he might be making a mistake because things didn’t turn out the way he planned. But God in His graciousness sent an angel in a dream to reassure Joseph that he was on the right path. Yes, this could be your story and the results of Joseph’s faith could also be your results!
Today let me reassure you that God knows right where you are and He knows how to get you where you need to be. Even when things don’t go the way you planned, His hand is on you. Do not be afraid. Trust that God is working behind the scenes on your behalf, that He will fulfill your dreams and lead you into the life of blessing that He has prepared for you.
Confession
I refuse to give up on my dreams and goals today because I know that God is working behind the scenes on my behalf. I refuse to allow the future to scare me just because of some few failed attempts. I will succeed at everything I set out to do. I am results oriented today!
Prayer
Father in heaven, I choose to trust in You. Even when things don’t go the way I planned, I know You are at work in my life. Thank You for Your perfect love which casts out all fear. I lift up my faith in You today in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

NEARER THAN YOU KNOW
For the vision is yet for an appointed time, but at the end it shall speak, and not lie: though it tarry, wait for it; because it will surely come, it will not tarry. Habakkuk 2:3
When it seems the answers to your prayers are not forthcoming and it seems that your blessings are delaying, don’t be tempted to give up. It’s at these times that you must dare to hope even more in God. Usually, the battle gets darkest just before the break of dawn, but no matter what happens the vision will surely come to pass.
We often experience difficult moments just before the breakthrough; yet, it’s important not give up. Hebrews 10:35 says ‘cast not away therefore your confidence, which has great recompense of reward.’ Many times, we’re nearer the promise than we know. God is always faithful to His promises even when we are faithless. Remember that your faith is the fuel that can keep you going no matter the circumstance. Thank God for the Holy Spirit who gives us the ability to hold on a little more even when others have give up.
Today, develop an attitude that says ‘I’ve come too far to stop now.’ Never forget that Christ in you is your hope of glory! Dare to trust a little more in God because the doors to your marriage, healing, job and financial breakthrough are already opened.
Confession
I will not give up because I know my door of breakthrough is closer than I know. No situation in this life can cause me to lose my faith in the promises of God. My trust in the Word of God is increasing by each second and so I know that I am more than a conqueror in all things.
Prayer
I bless You my Lord for Your Word today and for all Your plans that concerns my life. I now know how closer I am to attaining the promises for my life. For this reason I refuse to give up. I thank You that I cannot despair or give up in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

EMMANUEL, GOD WITH US
Behold, the virgin shall become pregnant and give birth to a Son, and they shall call His name Emmanuel — which, when translated, means, God with us. Matthew 1:23 (AMP)
In the Bible, Jesus has many names that identify His character. One of those names is Emmanuel, which means ‘God with us.’ See, before Jesus came to the earth, the Spirit of God resided in the temple. People weren’t able to be connected with God the way we are able to connect with Him today.
In those days, they had to go through all sorts of rituals to make themselves clean enough to go to the temple. Because of Jesus, we believers are now the temple of the Holy Spirit. When we accept Jesus as our Lord and Savior, He is the one who cleanses us and makes His home in our hearts. We no longer have to go to human temples before we can have fellowship with the Father because now He is with us always.
Isn’t it good to know that God is with us? He is closer than the very air we breathe. His peace is always with us. His joy is always with us. His power is always with us and His victory is always with us. The next time you feel alone, remember, you are never alone because you serve Emmanuel — the God who is always with us!
Confession
I am never alone because the Emmanuel is with me and that makes me the winner. Greater is He who lives in me than he who is in the world. My body is the temple of the Holy Ghost and so no frailty is permitted to dwell in it. I am resistant to every negative condition!
Prayer
Father in heaven, I thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus and choosing to make Your home in me. Thank You for filling me with Your peace and joy. I bless You today, knowing that You will never leave me nor forsake me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

UNTO US
For unto us a Child is born, unto us a Son is given; and the government will be upon His shoulder... Isaiah 9:6a (NKJV)
When Jesus came to earth, He brought with Him everything you need to live a life of victory. He came as a little baby, but He was empowered with all authority in heaven and earth. When you make Him your Lord and Savior, He gives you access to all of His resources. You have access to His peace, power, authority, provision, joy and strength.
The memory verse says that unto us Christ was born and was given. This means that Jesus brought all the great promises ‘unto us’ when He came to earth. Unto us a child is born; unto us victory is given. Unto us peace is given. Unto us provision is given. Unto us hope and healing are given. Unto us eternal life is given. Unto us access to all the good things in this life is given!
Whatever you may have need of today, remember, when Jesus came into the world, He made a way for every one of your needs to be met spiritually, emotionally and physically. Surrender your life to Him and receive all the spiritual blessings He has in store for you!
Confession
Unto me today, Jesus is given and hence I acknowledge that I have received access to all the good things of this life. Today, through Jesus Christ, I receive peace, long life, provision, promotion, healing and breakthroughs. No good thing will be withheld from me today!
Prayer
Father in heaven, I thank You for sending Your Son, Jesus, so that I could be free to live an abundant life in You. I receive unto me everything You came to give. Fill me with Your love and show me Your ways so that I can know You more. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.
