A MOMENT TO SHINE!

Awesome, glorious and miraculous......that was how the Praise Sanctuary was today. God really visited the church. Ministering was Dr Lawrence Tetteh.....describe it as a day of the miraculous. His words ignited the healing ("Dangers of Offences") and after he was done preaching, he became a vessel through whom God worked out some marvellous miracles - someone with one ear deaf from infancy received her healing and another with one leg longer than the other received an instant healing. It was awesome.......This is just a teaser. Watch out for more soon (with pictures). Another piece of information - Dr Lawrence Tetteh is ministering in the Praise Sanctuary again tomorrow. Time is 6pm exactly and you cannot afford to miss out. God bless you!!!

LIFE-GIVING WATER
The words of a man’s mouth are deep waters... Proverbs 18:4 (NIV)

All over the world, there are people who are lonely, they are hurting, they have been through disappointments; they have suffered heartache and pain. As believers, God has given us something to offer them. We have life-giving, refreshing water in us. With our words, we can bring healing. With our words, we can lift them out of depression.

With our words, we can tell them, “You are beautiful. You are amazing. You are talented. God has a bright future in front of you.” Those life-giving words will break the chains of depression. They will break the chains of low self-esteem. You can help set people free from the strongholds that are keeping them back. You may not know all that is happening, but God can take one compliment, one encouraging word and use that to begin the healing process and set that person on a brand new course. And when you help break the chains off of others, any chains that you might have will be broken off, too!

Today, choose to speak encouragement. Choose to speak life. Tell others what they can become, give compliments and live life as a healer. Pour out that life-giving water with your words and watch it come back to you in abundance!

Prayer
Father, thank You for allowing Your healing waters to flow through me by your precious Son, Jesus. I choose to pour out life onto others and refresh them with life-giving words. Direct my words, order my steps and let all that I do glorify You. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE FULLNESS OF THE BLESSING
But I know that when I come to you, I shall come in the fullness of the blessing of the gospel of Christ. Romans 15:29 (NKJV)

Are you living in the fullness of God’s blessing? God’s blessing is His supernatural empowerment. It is His favor. And we have all seen a measure of His blessing, but He wants to take you to a whole new level. God has promises and opportunities in store for you that you haven’t even thought of yet! What you have seen in the past is only a fraction of what God wants to do in your future.

Understand that God likes to outdo Himself. He wants to open doors for you and bring out talents and abilities that you didn’t even know you had. We serve a God of abundance! He is the God of more than enough. Not only does He want to meet your needs, He wants to give you enough to bless other people. That is living in the fullness of the blessing.

Today, don’t settle where you are. Your destiny is not determined by the economy, your past or what anyone else thinks or says. Your destiny is determined by Almighty God. He wants you to tap into a greater measure of His power so you can live the abundant life He has in store for you!

Prayer
Father in heaven, I come before You today with an open and humble heart, ready to receive all You have for me. Teach me to live a life that is pleasing to You so that I can be an example of Your love in the world around me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

GROW YOUR FAITH
Faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the Word of God. Romans 10:17 (NKJV)

Scripture tells us that every person has been given a measure of faith. That faith can grow and increase; or it can be diminished. Note that today’s scripture doesn’t say, “Faith comes by having heard the Word of God one time.” It’s by hearing — present tense.

Sure, God’s Word can transform us in an instant, but most of the time, we need to hear God’s truth over and over again in order for it to become active in our lives. The more we hear the Word, the more His truth chisels away at the doubt and unbelief that is been built up over the years. His truth sets us free and causes our faith to grow! Just as a seed needs water daily to grow, your spirit needs the Word of God daily. Your faith needs to be watered by His Word.

It can be as simple as selecting a few scriptures to meditate on daily. Write them down and carry them in your purse or wallet. Read them out loud over and over. Let His truth sink down into your heart and move you forward into the freedom and victory He has prepared for you!

Prayer
Father in heaven, I thank You for Your Word that is living and active and growing in my life. I submit myself to You today and ask You to teach me Your ways. Give me insight into Your Word so that I may know You and grow in faith. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FULFILLING THE LAW OF CHRIST
Carry each other’s burdens, and in this way you will fulfill the law of Christ. Galatians 6:2 (NIV)

When we live in peace and unity, it pleases God. When we love and serve others, putting their needs above our own, we are honoring Him. When we carry each other's burdens, we are fulfilling the law of Christ, which is to love others.

What does it mean to carry each other’s burdens? There are many ways to reach out to people and help shoulder their load of life. Just by giving an encouraging word or smile, you can help lighten the load for someone. When you pray and intercede for others in their day of difficulty, you are helping to carry their burdens. Maybe there are other ways to help the people around you. Anytime you help others and reach out to those in need, scripture says you are directly lending a hand to God Himself.

Today, look for ways to lighten the load for the people around you. Be a burden lifter. Remember, in God’s kingdom what you sow, you shall reap. When you help others, God promises to repay you. He will pour out His victory and blessing upon you all the days of your life!

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I bless your name. Lord it is my prayer that I will fulfill Your law of love by serving and helping others. Show me how to be a blessing to the people around me so that I can help carry their burdens. May my love for you increase today in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

EXPERIENCE HIS LOVE
For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord. Romans 8:38–39 (KJV)

God loves you so much today! He wants you to know and experience His love. When you experience something, it becomes real to you. You “own” it, so to speak. For example, let’s say you’ve never eaten chocolate before. Someone else can describe it to you. They can tell you all about the taste and texture, but until you take a bite of it, it won’t really mean anything.

In the same way, you can hear all about God’s love and how wonderful He is, but it’s not until you experience it first hand and allow His love to sink down into your heart that something happens on the inside of you. His love changes you. It builds confidence and strength in you. It empowers you to overcome temptation and to stand strong no matter what difficulty you may be facing.

When you open your heart and receive His love, you will be fully persuaded that nothing can separate you from Him! Today, embrace that love that redeemed us from the curse of sin; the love that turned us from being sinners to becoming saints. And let this experience dictate your relationship with others!

Prayer
Father in heaven, I open my heart to You today. Fill me with Your love so that I can know You more. I desire to experience You in every part of my being. I surrender every area of my life to You. Have Your way in me. I thank you Lord in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FINISH STRONG!
...Run in such a way as to get the prize. 1 Corinthians 9:24 (NIV)

Oftentimes, when we have a dream in our heart, we start off strong. We head down the path toward our goal, and we’re so excited! But along the way, we hit some roadblocks and encounter some adversity. Many times, people will just give up and take the easy way out. But we have to remember, it’s not how we start that counts; it’s how we finish.

Anybody can be fired up at the beginning, but I’m encouraging you to stick with it until the end! Have the determination to go all the way through. Don’t stop at the halfway mark just because times are tough. Don’t quit because you don’t see anything happening. The scripture tells us not to walk by sight, but to walk by faith.

If there’s a dream in your heart, something you’re believing for — a relationship to turn around, a business opportunity or an increase you’re expecting — keep pursuing it! Run your race to win the prize! Don’t settle until you see the fullness of what God has placed in your heart. As you stand strong in your faith, God will pour out His favor and blessing upon you and you will see the victory He has in store for you!

Prayer
Heavenly Father, today I choose to stand strong in You. I set my focus on Your promises and choose to run my race with conviction. I let go of the past by faith today and press forward into the destiny You have in store for me. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

He Knows What’s in You
Delight yourself also in the Lord, and He will give you the desires and secret petitions of your heart. Psalm 37:4 (AMP)

Are you believing God for something that seems like it’s taking a long time? In the natural, you may have every reason to give up on what God has placed in your heart. At times, you may be tempted to get discouraged, but remember, God knows exactly where you are. He knows the desires He has placed within you.

God knows even the hidden dreams — what the scripture calls the secret petitions of your heart. Those are the things that you haven’t told anyone about. Maybe you thought they would never work out, or you have buried them because they didn’t happen on your timetable. But God still has a way to bring them to pass.

Be encouraged today because God is working behind the scenes on your behalf. Delight yourself in Him — find joy in serving Him and make your heart moldable in His hands. Don’t settle for mediocrity because God knows what is in you and His plan is to finish the work He began in you!

Prayer
Lord, I humbly come to You today giving You all that I am. Thank You for fulfilling every desire in my heart. Lord, remove anything from my life that is displeasing to You so that everything I am brings glory to You. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

Ask What You Desire
If you abide in Me, and My words abide in you, you will ask what you desire, and it shall be done for you. John 15:7 (NKJV)

It pleases God to give you the desires of your heart! He wants to see you happy, whole, strong and enjoying His blessing. When you make the Word of God your number one priority, when you stay connected to Him through prayer and worship, God promises that He will give you the desires of your heart.

Psalm 37:4 tells us again that if we delight ourselves in Him, He will give us the desires of our hearts. One of the root definitions of the word “delight” means “soft.” This gives the picture of us being soft and moldable, like clay, in the Potter’s hands. As we allow Him to shape and mold our character, as we yield ourselves to Him, our thoughts become His thoughts, our words become His Words and our desires become His desires! That is how we can ask whatever we will because our will is in alignment with Him!

Today, don’t allow the distractions of everyday life keep you from spending time with Him. Abide in Him and let His Words abide in you because He will give you the desires of your heart!

Prayer
Heavenly Father, today I submit every area of my life to You. I invite You to have Your way in my heart. Mold me and make me as I surrender every area of my life to You. I praise You and give You all the glory. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

Remain in Him
I am the vine; you are the branches. If a man remains in Me and I in him, he will bear much fruit; apart from Me you can do nothing. John 15:5 (NIV)

Have you ever really thought about the relationship between a branch and the vine? We don’t use these kinds of word pictures very much anymore, but think about it — if the branch is not attached to the vine, it withers and dies. The very life of the branch depends on being attached to the vine.

The same thing happens if we try to operate in this life without Jesus. Without Him, we can do nothing. We are cut from our life source. But when you remain in Him by daily connecting with Him through prayer, worship and study of the Word, then your life will be fruitful. You will walk in joy and blessing. Notice that this verse says “much fruit.” It is saying that you will have an abundant harvest in your life.

Remember, God doesn’t want you to just barely get by. He wants to overwhelm you with His goodness! Choose to remain in Him today; choose to make Him your top priority and you will see His hand of blessing operating in every area of your life!

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for being my source of life. Thank You for Your hand of blessing that is leading and guiding me. I choose to make You the number one priority in my life. Let my heart hunger only for You today. In Jesus’ Name. Amen.

ACTIVATE FAVOR
...The LORD bestows favor and honor; no good thing does He withhold from those whose walk is blameless. Psalm 84:11 (NIV)

Favor is a part of your inheritance! You don’t have to beg God for it; as a believer in Jesus, you are in covenant with Him. That means that everything He has is yours! The way you tap into that favor, or activate it, is by thanking Him for it. Simply say, “Father, thank You that Your favor is causing me to be at the right place at the right time.”

See, you don’t have to pray about something that you already have, just receive it by thanking Him. He has given you His anointing, His blessing and His love – just take hold of them by faith. And then begin to declare them and act in faith as if you have them. Know that it’s all part of your inheritance. So just act like it’s true because it is.

Today, activate His promises by faith. Praise and thank Him for His goodness and for blessing your life. Receive His Word as truth and hold it in your heart because He has already given His favor and blessing to you!

Prayer
Heavenly Father, thank You for Your favor and blessing in my life. Your Word says that You will withhold no good thing from me because I walk blamelessly before You by the blood of Jesus. I receive it by faith. Thank You for Your goodness in Jesus’ Name, Amen.

JUST AGREE WITH GOD!
As it is written: ‘I have made you a father of many nations.’ He is our father in the sight of God, in whom he believed — the God who gives life to the dead and calls into being things that were not. Romans 4:17 (NIV)

Twenty years before Abraham ever had a child, God said to him, “Abraham, I have made you a father of many nations.” Note that God spoke to him like it had already happened, in the past tense. Abraham probably thought God must be making a mistake. How can someone without even one child become father of nations?

When God says you are blessed, don’t try to figure it out. Just agree with God and say, “I am blessed.” When God calls you prosperous, don’t go check your bank account. Don’t go look at your pay slip. Just agree with Him and say, “I am prosperous.” Things may look impossible. That is all right. That is the way things looked for Abraham. But sure enough, God’s promises came to pass and he became the father of many nations.

Remember, when you agree with God, you are positioning yourself for a miracle. You are activating His truth in your life. When things look difficult, don’t agree with your circumstances, agree with God’s promises because He is faithful and He will complete what He’s started in your life!

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I bless You and thank You for Your goodness and faithfulness in my life. I receive Your promises as truth, no matter what is going on around me. Fill me with joy and peace as I hold fast to Your promises for me. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

ACCEPT GOD’S PLAN
‘For I know the plans I have for you,’ declares the Lord, ‘plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.’ Jeremiah 29:11 (NIV)

No matter what may be happening today, God has good things in store for your future! It may not be easy to see now, but God has already lined up a new beginning, new friendships and new opportunities for you.

Maybe you’ve experienced some setbacks, but don’t make the mistake of expecting the same for your future. Instead, accept God’s good plan for your life by declaring His truth. As believers, even if the economy is down, you do not have to worry. Your God will go before you and He has promised He will make rivers in the desert. The medical report may not look good, but understand that you have another report that says God is restoring health unto you. He has already released healing, health and victory in my future.

In the natural, things could seem impossible, but our God can do the impossible! Today, be encouraged and don’t give up on your tomorrows. Accept the good plan God has for you — a plan filled with hope, purpose, blessing and increase in every area of your life!

Prayer
Dear Lord, thank You for giving me hope and a future. Thank You for loving me, choosing me and delighting in me. I invite You to renew my heart and mind to the good plans You have for me. Open my eyes to see my expected end in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

THE GREATNESS OF OUR GOD
But God, who is rich in mercy, because of His great love with which He loved us...raised us up together, and made us sit together in the heavenly places in Christ Jesus, that in the ages to come He might show the exceeding riches of His grace in His kindness toward us in Christ Jesus. Ephesians 2:4–7 (NKJV)

Oftentimes, people set their focus on what God has done in the past — how He parted the Red Sea, or stopped the sun for Joshua, or fed thousands of people with just a little boy’s small lunch. And what about how He brought forth fire from heaven to consume the fifty soldiers after Elijah had prayed?

Yes, God has performed many amazing miracles throughout history and it is important that we give Him praise and glory. But at the same time, we also have to look forward to what God wants to do in our lives today. From today’s memory verse, Paul says that “…in the ages to come” God would do things that far supersede anything He has ever done before. I believe that the “ages to come” that he is talking about is this day and time we are living in right now. God wants to outdo Himself in our generation!

Remember, God is a God of increase. Where you are today is not where you are supposed to stay. He has greater levels of His favor and blessing in store for you. Dare to dream big! Dare to keep a God-sized vision in front of you! Dare to take hold of every blessing that the Lord has in store for you!

Prayer
Father in heaven, thank You for Your faithfulness in my life. Today I open my heart and mind to You so that I can see the greatness of what You want to do in my life. Use me for Your glory. Thank You for Your favor. In Jesus’ Name, Amen.

REDEEM THE TIME
So be careful how you live. Don’t live like fools, but like those who are wise. Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days. Ephesians 5:15–16 (NLT)

Time is the most valuable commodity that we have in life. It is more valuable than money. You can make more money, but you can’t make more time. When you woke up this morning, God gave you a present called “today.” And with that gift comes a responsibility.

The memory verse tells us to redeem the time, to make the most of every opportunity. That simply means don’t let it go to waste. Don’t live this day unfocused, unhappy, negative or defeated. Make the most of every day. God has entrusted you with His life. He has breathed His very breath into you. He has put gifts and talents on the inside of you. You have seeds of greatness deposited in you. You are a person of destiny and you have an assignment and a purpose to fulfill!

I encourage you today to evaluate how you are spending your time. Refocus your life. Let go of any distractions. Shake off any self-pity, any discouragement, any disappointments from the past and run your race with purpose. Be careful how you live and redeem the time so that you can fulfill the destiny He has prepared for you.

Prayer
Father in heaven, I thank You for the gift of today. I dedicate this day to You. I dedicate my mind, will and emotions to You. Use me this day for Your purposes and keep me on the path You have for me. In Jesus’ Name I pray. Amen.

JULY 2011

On the last Sunday of June 2011, the Papa of the house (Rev Alex Owusu Amankwah) declared the month of JULY 2011 as such: YOU POSSESS THE POTENTIAL TO SHINE... He declared that in this new month, there is a seed of greatness in you and the potential that causes a nobody to shine and become a somebody lies in you because God has given us His divine nature. Recalling the theme for the year - MY TIME TO SHINE - Rev Alex declared that as we are in the year of shinning, the 7th month (the month of perfection) is the time when the potential to shine will be stirred up in you.
We welcome you to worship with us at the Praise Sanctuary, behind the Tesano Police Station and we know that you will never regret you did. Have a fulfilling day, a blessed week and a blissful month. Remember that in July 2011, YOU POSSESS THE POTENTIAL TO SHINE!!!!!!!!! See you on TOP!!!!!!
