WE’RE GOD’S REPRESENTATIVES
We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf. 2 Corinthians 5:20 (NIV)

We’re called God’s ambassadors or representatives on the earth. Just as persons are chosen to represent their president and nation in foreign lands, so do we represent God and His Kingdom. Ambassadors receive certain privileges; they are diplomats with the highest rank. They walk in the authority of the one who sent them.

As God's ambassadors, we walk in His power and authority. We do not operate with our own limited strength, but rather walk by the Spirit at work in us. This implies that we are not subject to the dictates of this world. We promote relationship with our King. We’re called ‘ministers of reconciliation,’ which means we are the ones to bring the message of hope in Jesus to the world. When you begin to see yourself as God's ambassador, it will change the way you think, the way you act and even the way you approach people.

Today, remember that you’re a representative of God Almighty. Look for ways to promote relationship with Him. Speak words that will draw people. Show kindness because it's His kindness that leads people to repentance. Look for ways to bless others as we work together to build His kingdom.

Confession
I am a representative of the King of Kings and so I operate under His divine power and authority. I cannot be limited by the systems of this world because I operate by the rules of the kingdom I represent. In me shall all the nations of this world be blessed. I am Christ’s ambassador!

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank you for choosing me as your ambassador. Help me to understand the authority you have given me. Show me ways to reach out and be a blessing to others and build your kingdom in the earth. I thank you for this privilege I have in you in Jesus’ name. Amen.

THE SERVANT OF THE LORD
Those who have served well gain an excellent standing and great assurance in their faith in Christ Jesus. 1 Timothy 3:13

Paul explains that two things result when a person serves the Lord well. First, he gains an excellent standing and is appreciated. Their ministry is widely received and appreciated. Secondly, he earns for himself great assurance in his faith in Christ. He becomes bold!

When you serve the Lord with all your heart in whatever ministry He gives you, especially if it’s on behalf of an entire congregation, you develop a wonderful sense of God at work with you. He helps you to solve problems and this creates a deep sense of boldness. God told Gideon, ‘…Go in this might of yours, and you shall save Israel from the hand of the Midianites. Have I not sent you?’ See, when you serve the Lord in any capacity, you are promised of great boldness in the faith from God.

What a wonderful promise! The servants of the Lord are His ambassadors and so in them reside the full power and authority of the Most High. They declare a thing and it is established. They are as bold as a lion and the devil cannot intimidate them. They are a terror to the kingdom of darkness!

Confession
I am the Lord’s servant and so anything I declare in faith is established. I am as bold as a lion and my name is a terror to the kingdom of darkness. In me resides the full attorney of the Lord and this gives me the privileges to turn lives to Christ. I am vessel of honor unto the Lord!

Prayer
I thank You, my Father for the practical quality of Your word. Please teach me, by Your Spirit, to be a faithful servant and to depend totally upon You in all things. I thank You that I am worthy to serve in Your presence in Jesus’ name I pray. Amen.

YOU WERE CREATED IN GOD'S IMAGE
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them. Genesis 1:27

Often, the negative words and opinions of others can cause us to doubt our dreams. People could make you feel like a failure, a weakling, someone who would not amount to anything. But understand that other people don’t set the limits for you. They don’t determine your destiny; God does!

It doesn’t matter if others don’t believe you. Their unbelief should not stop you from believing in your God-given dreams. You don’t need everyone to validate you. You don’t need to get confirmation from all your friends. You just need God’s approval. What if all men approve of you, but God does not? Understand that God made you in His image and so He alone knows you better. He sees the treasures hidden in you. He sees what others are unable to see in you!

Anyone created in God’s image cannot be a failure. Your future is not defined by your past, but by the divine nature of God at work in you. It doesn’t matter the negative things that have been said of you in the past; the God-kind of life in you is greater than any curse! Begin to live like one created in God’s image!

Confession
I am made after the likeness of God so I cannot be a failure in life. I am fearfully and awesomely made, endowed with great abilities. Everywhere I go, I dominate, rule and possess all things because God has commissioned me to. I represent God and I walk in His power and authority!

Prayer
I am created in the very image of God and in His likeness. I thank You Lord that You have made me so special and You have placed me above the kingdoms and the nations. I pray that I will walk in this higher authority in Jesus’ name. Amen.

A WALK WITH GOD
And after he became the father of Methuselah, Enoch walked with God 300 years and had other sons and daughters...Enoch walked with God; then he was no more, because God took him away. Genesis 5:22, 24

This account says twice that, before he was taken up, Enoch walked with God. What does it mean to walk with God? Here is a man who, in the midst of a brilliant but godless generation, walked with God. Enoch went in the same direction God went and also walked in step with the Lord.

The person who walks with God is the person who knows which way God is going and goes the same way. For instance, no matter how attractive sin may seem, God is against it and so is the person who walks with God. You cannot walk with somebody if you do not keep in step with him. The person who walks with God is the one who depends on God to support and strengthen him. He is one who takes a step when God insists.

Dear, you cannot walk with God when there is a controversy between you and God. Amos 3:3 says ‘Can two walk together, except they be agreed?’ Make a decision today to always walk with God for when He directs your steps, you are bound to excel. Walking with God makes you a champion in this life and makes your life beautiful.

Confession
I decide today to always walk with God because I know that by so doing, I become a champion in this life and my life is made beautiful. I am excellent because God wraps Himself over me. Absolutely nothing is capable of stopping me from becoming great. I walk in miracles today!

Prayer
Lord, I thank You that You always desire to walk with me. My prayer is that it would be said of me as it was said of Enoch that I walked with God. I want to go in your direction, keep pace with You and be in total agreement with you in Jesus’ name. Amen.

GOD IS WORKING IN YOU
…Being confident of this that He who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6 (NIV)

Sometimes when God is doing a work in our lives, things can get a little uncomfortable. We may encounter people who are hard to get along with or have circumstances that seem beyond our control. When this happens, instead of complaining, getting bitter or trying to change everything around you, look deep inside and say, ‘Lord, thank you for doing a work in me.’

You know why? God is more interested in changing you than He is in changing your circumstances. If you choose to stay bitter because you are not getting your way or discouraged because things aren’t happening according to your time table, that’s going to keep you right where you are.

If you want to see change, if you want to see God open up new doors, the key is to blossom right where you’re planted. You can’t wait until everything gets better before you decide to have a good attitude. You have to be the best that you can be right where you are. When you blossom where you’re planted, you’re allowing God to work in you and He will be faithful to complete what He’s started in you!

Confession
I quit complaining about the things that are missing in my life and avail myself unto the Lord for Him to work in me and through me. I consciously work at becoming who God wants me to be at where I am right now. I am a vessel of honor unto the Lord. I am a better person today!

Prayer
Dear Father, I thank you for doing a work in me. I choose to align myself with your plan by blossoming where I’m planted. Help me, by your Spirit, to be an example of your love and life everywhere I go. I thank you Lord in Jesus’ name. Amen.

CHRIST IS OUR WELL OF DELIVERANCE
Jesus answered and said unto her, Whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again: [14] But whosoever drinketh of the water that I shall give him shall never thirst; but the water that I shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life. John 4:13-14

Are you tired of living in a dry place? Are you tired of the devil holding on to your supply? Then it is time for you to re-dig the well of deliverance. God has given you power and authority in Jesus’ name. You have the ability to get the devil out of your land.

You can stop the devil from withholding your supplies and you can get the devil’s dirt out of your well! How? By applying the assurance of the cross; ‘…He was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed’ (Isaiah 53:5). Christ was bruised for our iniquities. Because of this, you can be free from the debt of sin and its consequences, which is death.

You have received from God life – physical life, spiritual life, financial life and abundant life. You should not be bound in any area. Christ is full of life and that is what He has given to you. He has truly come to set every captive free. Re-dig your well of deliverance and start to live the life Christ purchased for you!

Confession
Christ has purchased for me an abundant life and so I begin to live that kind of life. I stop the devil from withholding my supplies and I declare that his weapons against my life are thwarted in Jesus’ name. I walk in constant victory in Christ Jesus.

Prayer
I thank you dear Lord that you have given this assurance that Christ was bruised for my iniquities and hence I am supposed to perpetual victory. I rebuke the enemy and begin to walk in the higher life you have made available unto me in Jesus’ name. Amen.

TODAY AT THE PRAISE SANCTUARY!

SUNDAY SERVICE (MAY 15, 2011)
Church commenced at exactly 8am with opening prayer, praise and worship led by brothers Adu Poku and Alex Jnr. The Praise Sanctuary choir ministered powerful renditions of both local and foreign songs. By the time the man of God took over the pulpit, the atmosphere was charged with the presence of God. He led us through an intense time of worship before declaring the Word of God for the day. He began by making this profound statement: “If there is anything that you need to do in the presence of God, it is to see yourself below a zero level so you can worship Him in all reverence and humility.”

Before speaking on the main topic for the day, the man of God declared the month of June as the month of Pure Worship and he spoke briefly about what to expect in the coming month. He recalled the days of David as a shepherd boy and also as a king. He spoke about the time when the ark of God was returning to Jerusalem and David, out of the gratitude that filled his heart, danced before the Lord until he was almost naked (2 Samuel 6). David’s wife, Michal despised him in her heart and this stirred up anger from the Lord. What Michal did not know about David’s heart of thankfulness was that he was once a shepherd boy who was forgotten by his family and God located him in the wilderness and anointed him king over Israel.

“If you don’t know my pain, you can’t understand my praise…”

Still speaking on the theme for the month – Being led by the Holy Spirit to take advantage of opportunities, he emphasized on the various ways by which God can lead His children. He spoke on the first 5 ways and promised to continue with the rest next Sunday. On this day (Sunday May 15, 2011 at the Praise Sanctuary, God really descended into the midst of His children and ministered to them! God bless you as you read except of the message for the day….

Message for the day…
By: Rev Alex Owusu Amankwah
On: “VARIOUS WAYS BY WHICH GOD CAN LEAD YOU”
This year, it is your time to shine. Light stands for development and so even as you shine this year, you shall experience total development in every area of your life.

Various ways…
1. INWARD WITNESS
“The Spirit Himself bears witness with our spirit, that we are the children of God.” Romans 8:16

2. INWARD VOICE
“I say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost.” Romans 9:1

  • l        Feeling is the voice of the body, reasoning is the voice of the soul and CONSCIENCE is the voice of the spirit.
  • l        This conscience comes from your spirit, but it is not the Holy Spirit. It bears witness in the Holy Ghost.
  • l        Understand that you can only win in this life when you allow your conscience to flow in the direction of the Holy Ghost.

3. THE VOICE OF THE HOLY GHOST
“Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you things to come.” John 16:13

  • l        The Holy Ghost has a voice and He speaks. He guides and reveals to children of God things to come.
  • l        The voice of the Holy Spirit is more authoritative and audible than the inward voice. The Holy Spirit speaks to us as if someone close by was speaking to us.

(At this point, Rev Alex recalled his school days – specifically at a time that he was preparing for his exams. He was invited to preach to a gathering of matured congregants and so he decided to pray and prepare for it. As soon as he began to pray, he fell asleep. But in a dream, the Holy Spirit spoke audibly to him, thus: “Alex, if you pray cheap prayers, you will preach cheap messages…” – that was the audible and authoritative voice of the Holy Spirit manifesting.)

  • l        The voice of the Holy Spirit is the sure way by which God speaks to us at all times! (Ref: Acts 10:19; Acts 13:1-2)

4. THE SPECTACULAR GUIDANCE
“Whereupon, O king Agrippa, I was not disobedient unto the heavenly vision.” Acts 26:19

  • l        In the above verse, Bible describes an encounter that Paul had when God revealed Himself to him in a spectacular manner.
  • l        In Acts 8:26-29, Bible also talks of Philip’s spectacular encounter with the supernatural when he was whisked away by the Spirit from one destination to the other.
  • l        Nevertheless, understand that this way of God’s leading is always an exception. It does not happen frequently as compared to the others.

5. GUIDANCE THROUGH VISION
“Her gates are sunk into the ground; he hath destroyed and broken her bars: her king and her princes are among the Gentiles: the law is no more; her prophets also find no vision from the LORD.” Lamentations 2:9

There are about 3 main ways by which God leads His children through visions;
  • l        Spiritual visions – where God reveals something to you when your eyes are closed in prayer or worship or meditation. The key here is that you don’t have to first visualize a thing before closing your eyes to be able to have this vision.
  • l        Trance (Acts 10:23) – this happens when your human senses are suspended from the physical realm so that you can begin to have a divine encounter with the Holy Spirit.
  • l        Open Vision – this happens when God reveals things beyond natural comprehension to you even when you eyes are opened. The Holy Spirit takes over your spirit and take you into another realm where He can commune with you.

It is important to be led by God in all things so that you can take advantage of all the opportunities that will come your way. Remember that seek for God’s leading in areas as your job, marriage, finances, etc.

Always learn to align any spiritual guidance you receive with the Word of God so you can prove what is right or not and what has been sanctioned by God or otherwise.
God bless you!!!

SOMEBODY IS ROOTING FOR YOU!
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us. Hebrews 12:1 (NIV)

If you grew up playing sports, you may have experienced the difference it makes to have somebody in the stands cheering you on. When you know they are watching you, or you hear them calling your name, or you see their hands up in the air, it does something on the inside. It causes you to jump a little higher and run a little faster.

You get a greater determination because you know somebody is rooting for you. Today, you have a great multitude in heaven cheering you on! They opening scripture refers to them as a great cloud of witnesses. They are saying, ‘You can do it! You are a winner! You are well able, strong and equipped. No weapon formed against you shall prosper!’

No matter what difficulty you may be facing, you always have the home field advantage. You are always surrounded by the voice of victory. Let that sink down deep into your heart today. Let it build confidence in you and give you the strength you need to keep moving forward into the abundant, victorious life He has prepared for you!

Confession
I am a victor, I am more than a conqueror and no weapon formed against me shall prosper. I belong to the majority side and I always have the home field advantage. Indeed, I am a winner; I am well able, strong and well equipped to achieve excellence. I am always on top!

Prayer
Father God, open the eyes of my heart. Help me to see the grand stands of heaven cheering me on. Thank You for instilling confidence, power and grace in me so that I can run my race and finish strong! I bless you Lord in Jesus’ Name. Amen.

FOUNTAIN OF LIFE TODAY!

HANDPICKED BY GOD
[In His love] He chose us [actually picked us out for Himself as His own] in Christ, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy... Ephesians 1:4 (AMP)

Before you were ever born, before the very foundation of the earth, God knew you, planned for you and chose you! He approved you and called you His own. God says that ‘Before I formed you in the womb I knew you; Before you were born I sanctified you; I ordained you a prophet to the nations.’

You may have been overlooked by people in your life; maybe you were passed up for a job or overlooked by someone whose opinion you valued. But remember, God won’t ever overlook you! In fact, God handpicked you. He chose you to be holy, or set apart, for Himself.

Meditate on this truth today: You are God’s most valued possession. You are special. You are the apple of His eye. He knows everything about you; He even knows the number of hairs you have on your head. He has given you the gifts and abilities that you have for a purpose. You carry great value and significance. Don’t ever lose sight of the treasure He’s placed within you. Remember, you are handpicked by God. Meditate on His goodness today knowing that nothing can change His love for you!

Confession
I am God’s most valued possession; I am the best in His creation; I am special and I have been handpicked by God to fulfill a divine agenda. I am not a nonentity in this life, I count and amount to something worthy in my generation. There is a treasure in me. I am the best!

Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank You for loving me today. Help me to understand Your love so that I can extend that love to those around me. Let me see others as valuable the way You see me. I thank you for handpicking me in Jesus’ Name. Amen.
