Awesome, was the presence of God from the start of service to the end. It really was a tangible manifestation of the Supreme power of the Holy Spirit – from time of intercessory, praise and worship led by Pastor Eben, choir ministration (rendition of Now Behold the Lamb) and the word ministration. God really visited the Praise Sanctuary and heavens kissed the earth!

Today’s Message

On: “MAN IS AN ETERNAL SPIRIT”
Scriptural Reference: Romans 8:14; Genesis 1:26; 1 Thessalonians 5:23; Philippians 1:23-24; 1 Corinthians 9:27; Proverbs 20:27; Romans 8:16; Psalm 18:28
· There are many opportunities that God opens to us each day, but we need to have Hearing Ear and Seeing Eye to take advantage of them.
· There is the need to listen to the voice of God in the heat of all the many voices that emerges from the world. It is prerequisite to be led by the Spirit of God in times like these as a child of God.
· If God created man in His own image, then what is God like? John 4:24 says that ‘God is Spirit...’ and hence, He being Spirit, created us to be just like Him. The first YOU is the Spirit that is in you!
· God made you a Spirit and hence Paul was praying that our whole Spirit, soul and body will be preserved unto the coming of Jesus.
MAN IS SPIRIT; HE HAS A SOUL AND LIVES IN A BODY!
· God made you a spirit, gave you a soul and placed you in a body!
· The born again believer is therefore superior to the unbeliever because his spirit is in union with the Holy Spirit and that makes him wiser and more advantageous in this life.
NO CHILD OF GOD CAN FAIL IN LIFE!
· God wants us to be led by the Spirit He placed in us and it is the only means that He can lead, direct and instruct us.
· Paul was affirming the presence and interaction between our human spirit and the Holy Spirit. Paul declared that he has the power to take up a heavenly body or a physical body (to die or to live). May you get to the point where you can decide when you want to go up to be with the Father.
· The spirit in you is much more superior to the soul in you because it is the only thing born of God.
· Paul declared that he (his regenerated spirit) has the power to suppress his body to conform to the will of God.
· God does not lead us by our soul (intellect, reasoning or emotions) or by our body (feelings or fleshly desires), but by the spirit.
· Man’s spirit is the candle of the Lord and it is His touch used to direct us!
· Man’s spirit is the only means by which God can lead him. Hence, if you want to be led by the Spirit of God, you need to grow and mature your spirit. Carnal or natural man cannot receive from God or be led by Him.
The Holy Spirit + Your Human spirit = Child of God
· That means, when you are born again, you ought to allow the Holy Spirit to take over your human spirit so that you can begin to walk in this higher truth (that you are the child of God).
· If you want to hear God's spirit, get into the spirit in prayer and in fellowshipping with the Holy Spirit. As you do that, He will begin to speak to you, lead you and instruct you on the perfect way – one that will lead you into a life of peace, joy and abundance.
· Because we have the Spirit, we have better things than that of the world. When you need to speak, don’t think of what to say, but ask the Holy Spirit to speak through you. With His words, you are more than a conqueror!
· Remind yourself each day that you are a spirit!
