WE’RE GOD’S REPRESENTATIVES
We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ’s behalf. 2 Corinthians 5:20 (NIV)
We’re called God’s ambassadors or representatives on the earth. Just as persons are chosen to represent their president and nation in foreign lands, so do we represent God and His Kingdom. Ambassadors receive certain privileges; they are diplomats with the highest rank. They walk in the authority of the one who sent them.
As God's ambassadors, we walk in His power and authority. We do not operate with our own limited strength, but rather walk by the Spirit at work in us. This implies that we are not subject to the dictates of this world. We promote relationship with our King. We’re called ‘ministers of reconciliation,’ which means we are the ones to bring the message of hope in Jesus to the world. When you begin to see yourself as God's ambassador, it will change the way you think, the way you act and even the way you approach people.
Today, remember that you’re a representative of God Almighty. Look for ways to promote relationship with Him. Speak words that will draw people. Show kindness because it's His kindness that leads people to repentance. Look for ways to bless others as we work together to build His kingdom.
Confession
I am a representative of the King of Kings and so I operate under His divine power and authority. I cannot be limited by the systems of this world because I operate by the rules of the kingdom I represent. In me shall all the nations of this world be blessed. I am Christ’s ambassador!
Prayer
Heavenly Father, I thank you for choosing me as your ambassador. Help me to understand the authority you have given me. Show me ways to reach out and be a blessing to others and build your kingdom in the earth. I thank you for this privilege I have in you in Jesus’ name. Amen.
